

Lynda Faye Spears, born on March 2, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 84. She lived a life filled with warmth, dedication and love, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Lynda's career was marked by her work as an Avon representative, where she shared beauty and joy with her clients, earning recognition for her outstanding sales achievements. Her passion for hairstyling was evident in her roles at Hair It Is and Marshall's Hair Design, where she was honored many times for her exceptional skills and commitment to her craft.
Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. Lynda cherished caring for her family and friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of camping trips in Lynchburg, Virginia, and nurturing her beloved garden, which bloomed with colorful flowers. A talented baker, she delighted in preparing sweet treats, sharing them generously with those around her. Lynda also found joy in reading and going to the movies, activities that enriched her life and sparked countless conversations.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Katherine Brown, her sister Amajean Brown, and her brother Grady Brown. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family, including the love of her life, Larry Dickson; her son Jeffrey Spears and his partner Karen McGilvray; her daughter Lori Honaker and her husband Dan; and her grandchildren Ryan Honaker with his wife Kate, and Katelyn Hartman with her husband Chad. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren, Ellie, Emma, and Evie, as well as many well-loved family members and friends.
Lynda Faye Spears will be remembered for her boundless generosity, her loving spirit, and the joy she brought to the lives of those she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends, keeping her vibrant spirit alive in their hearts.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
