Norfolk - Marjorie Grace Nicely “Nanny”, 86, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family as she went home to be with the Lord. Born on Sept. 2, 1927 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Cunningham. Mrs. Nicely spent most of her life in Norfolk, Virginia with her late husband of 52 years, Gordon S. Nicely. She dedicated her life to raising her three children and her granddaughter, Alicia.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Deborah A. Murray; Vivian C. Donnelly and husband Pat; Brenda Nicely-Meade and husband Tony; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at funeral home. You may pay condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
