Mary Linda Slick

Mary Linda Slick, 74, passed away on October 5, 2018. She was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Lindsay and Mary Bazemore. She was a member of Tabernacle Church in Norfolk. Linda was a loving wife and friend. She enjoyed volunteering at the Union Mission. Linda was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Charles O. Slick; son John L. Slick; and step-mother Athleen Bazemore. Left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters, Lynette Hall (Les), Jennifer Midgett (David) and Lisa Wilhmelms (George); brother Butch Bazemore; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 niece; 1 nephew; numerous cousins; her best friend for many years in addition to all the assistance she gave Linda since Linda became infirmed, Karen Vogel; and good friends Estefani and Daniel Franken. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk SPCA.
