Michael Norman Vail, 70, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin "Bob" Vail and Dolores Vail.
Mike was born October 3, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia and was a longtime resident of Virginia Beach. He and his wife were former owners and operators of Vail Marine Service & Supply, Inc. which was founded in 1975 by his parents. He enjoyed offshore fishing and boating, golf, and music.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Vickie Vail; his daughter Nicole Flowe and her husband Alex; his grandson Jack Flowe; his sister Kathy Ratliff and her husband Randy; his sister-in-law Wanda Rice and her husband David; his brother-in-law Johnny Lineberry and his wife Coleen; his nephews Jim Mizelle, Chris Mizelle, Todd Rice, and Marty Lineberry; his nieces Lisa Davenport and Gina Simmons; great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
