Mildred Evans Boyce

Mildred E. Boyce VIRGINIA BEACH - Mildred Evans Boyce, 89, of Westminster Canterbury, passed away May 17, 2011. Mrs. Boyce was born in Grey Eagle, W.Va. She retired as a secretary from the U.S. government after 30 years of service. She was a member of the National Federation of Women's Clubs and Azalea Baptist Church. She attended Parkway Christian Center in recent years. She was the beloved and faithful wife for 67 years to John T. Boyce, who survives her. Other survivors include two nieces, Ellen Rasnic of Sydney, Ohio, Patty Sue Paukstis and husband Dan of New Philadelphia, Pa.; a nephew, James Flannagan of Welch, W.Va.; two great-nieces, Kathi Klauss and husband John, Sharon Kay Rasnic, both of Sydney; two great-great-nieces, Terri Anne Harger and Rissa Zimmer and husband James of Dublin, Ohio; and several great-great-great-nieces. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Friday, May 20, 11 a.m. at Parkway Christian Center 601 Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake, by the Rev. Ernest Trueblood. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
