
Patricia Jean Wade (Patsy, Pat) of 5547 Woodbine Road, Norfolk, Virginia, passed away quietly in her sleep at 90 years young on Sunday April 30, 2023. She was the daughter of Kenneth Browning, and Flossie Mae Campbell of East Moline, Illinois.
Pat led a full and happy life. She was born and grew up in East Moline, Illinois. Upon graduating high school, she joined the United States Navy where she met the love of her life, David Strickland Wade, in Washington D.C. They married in Arlington Chapel on June 15th, 1956, and had two daughters, Nancy Ann (Elam), and Susan Belinda (Landers).
Pat was a stay-at-home mom for a while, although very active and had many interests and talents. Throughout her marriage she lived in Norfolk, Virginia, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kenitra, Morocco, and Edzell, Scotland. Upon returning to the U.S., Pat worked as a radio operator for the Civil Service.
Pat loved golf, bowling, ceramics, soft ball, her dogs, video games, and mostly her family. She could also build just about anything if you gave her a hammer, some nails, and an idea and was truly the rock for her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Pat was predeceased by her husband David Strickland Wade, parents, Kenneth Browning, and Flossie Mae Campbell, stepfather James Campbell, and stepmother Gwen Browning, her brother Kenneth (Donnie) Browning, and a half brother Robert Browning.
Pat is survived and loved by her daughters Nancy Elam (John), and Susan Landers (Charles), granddaughters, Kristi Rinck (Will), Alison Nati, Jessica Gransbury, Lindsey Skinner (Steve), and Megan Yeo (Charlie), Grandson Jonathan Elam (Brittany) and Great grandchildren Deegan, Connor, Zeke, Hailey, Kaesen, Tristan, Devyn, Logan, Tori, Jack, Trey, Stella, and Alex. Pat is also survived by two half-brothers, Ronald Browning and Richard Browning and many wonderful cousins.

A celebration of life will be held 2 pm Friday, May 5th, 2023, at the family home, 5547 Woodbine Road, Norfolk, Virginia. There will be a private interment with military honors next to her husband, David, at a later date.
