Richard resided in Virginia Beach for the past eighteen years with his sister Beverly Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents Dennis Ledford and Ruby Brown Ledford and a brother-in-law, Jack Wells. He served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Mr. Ledford is survived by his daughter, Megan Elizabeth Ledford, four sisters Edith Wells, Beverly Cole and her husband Jerry, Elizabeth Dozier and husband Jamie and Lynn Leroy and husband Steve; two brothers Dennis Ledford, Jr., and wife Linda, John Ledford and wife Judy.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.
A celebration of Mr. Ledford’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
