Mr. Meyer was born on July 22, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert and Florence Meyer. He retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty-one years of service and from Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation. He was a long time member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's Fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Rob Meyer, Jr and his wife Robin; and 4 grandchildren, Austin, Preston, Brayden, and Landry.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 11:00 am at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1051 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502-2720.
