

Rona Brandon Carawan Jr., 81, beloved husband of 63 years to Kathleen Carawan (Dolly) was received in the arms of our Heavenly Father, Saturday December 7th. He was born in Norfolk County to the late Rona Brandon Carawan Sr. and Rena Tuton Carawan.
He was an active member of Portlock United Methodist Church. He retired after 33 years from Ford Motor Company as a supervisor of the paint department. He was an avid sportsman and loved coaching little league baseball.
He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Keith Jr. and Kristin and sister, Mary Bass.
In addition to his loving wife, left to cherish his memory are 4 children Rona and Susan, Marvin and Linda, Keith, Teresa and Howard; 7 grandchildren Teri and Peyt, Shannon, Brandon and Danielle, Marvin Jr. “Bubba” and Laurie, Aislyn and Shane, Clint and Amber, Matthew, Shannon, Patrick and Amber and Emily; 17 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Julia, Jenna, Madie, Brodie, Jackson, Taylor, Colby, Carter, Camryn, Cara, Catie, Colton, Corie, Katie and Addison;1 aunt, Rebecca Niven and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Portlock United Methodist Church in Chesapeake to be officiated by Rev. Robert “Bob” Robinson. The burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
