

A native of New Orleans, LA, Mr. Vincent graduated from Dela Salle High School in New Orleans.
He served as Captain in the U.S.A.F. receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. He flew the F-4 Phantom for more than three hundred and thirty-three combat missions with the 555th "Triple Nickel" Squadron in Vietnam. He also retired after 28 years as an Account Manager for Norfolk Southern Corporation. He was an avid sailor winning many high end races in his two favorite prize possessions, C & C 34's Flambeau and Sazerac. He enjoyed traveling dancing and reading. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from LSU, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He was a member of Southern Yacht Club and Key Port Yacht Club.
Mr. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Sawyer Vincent, Sr. and Carroll Bland Vincent and a brother Charles Bland Vincent.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry L. Vincent; two children, Tina Lee McPherran and husband, Johnny and Jeffery Andrew Zimmerman; two grandchildren, Matthew Ryan McPherran and John W. McPherran; and sister, Elizabeth Morgan Vincent.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
