All,
     I only heard of Tom's passing this weekend.  My condolences are late, but I wanted to express my heart-felt feelings of the loss.  He was a good friend and high school classmate of mine.  We shared many great times whether boating on the lake, camping in the back yard or racing slot cars on the professional full size track in the Bishop home.  Having known Tom made a difference in my life.  As our lives and careers took us in different directions we lost touch.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family as you adjust your lives to get by without Tom.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the depth of loss of a child, regardless of age.I know that you and Lucille are the best of the the best and though I didn't know your sons, I am certain that they were too.Chris and I hope that in time your wonderfull memories of Tom and your pride in him will make the loss more bearable. Our most sincere apologies for having missed the memorial - we did have good intentions. Please know that I deeply appreciate your support at the time of Ruth's death.

I am sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Given the MANY hours John & Mary spent with my wife & me during our grad school years at UA, I feel I knew Tom.  Plus, as a fellow cancer patient/survivor, I feel his loss all the more.

We are very sorry to hear that your son Tom has died. Being friends of John's and Mary's, we had the pleasure to meet Tom several times, even sharing last year's Easter holidays with the family in South Carolina. Thanks to his generosity, we were able to live in his Greenbelt apartment for some time after that. 
It was ever so good to know him in the loving care of his brother and sister-in-law in North Carolina during his last two years. Please accept our sincere sympathies.

Mr. and Mrs. Bishop, John, Robert, and family: Tom will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. I counted Tom as my best friend for eight of my most formative years. We shared adventure, exciting times, and yes a little studying. From the Boy Scouts and Philmont, to Bayside High School, to freshmen roommates at Virginia Tech and graduation, to 50+ miles of backpacking through the mountains of New Hampshire Tom was by my side and he always will be. Tom blessed the world and everyone he touched; thank you for sharing him with us.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom for 10+ years at Raytheon and ERT. I was always impressed with Tom's determination and dedication to the task, helping to corral an unruly group and herd them through a chaotic process to achieve the best outcome possible.  Tom was very skilled and always ready to take on the toughest challenges.  I will miss him greatly.  My prayers are with you, his family, and all his friends that we may quickly overcome our grief and fondly remember all that Tom added to our lives.

I am deeply saddened by hearing of our loss of Tom.  He was a fine and generous person who always gave of himself and demonstrated deep concern and respect for others. He will be missed by all the people whose lives he has touched over the years.

So sorry to hear about this loss! I knew Tom 10 years ago when we were working in same NASA program, he became my supervisor when I joined Earth Resource Tech. I was so lucky to know Tom and worked with him over many years. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Tom. In the past two years, the deep love and compassion that you demonstrated in the care of Tom have been so inspirational. When I heard the news, my heart sank as if I lost a beacon and fighting buddy against the evil illness. This war was tough and challenging but what Tom and your family had achieved was truly miraculous. During this difficult time, may God bless you and your family and may Tom rest in peace.

We are so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I worked with Tom over many years since the early 1980's. My husband and I ran into him at the College Park Airport open house a few years ago. We shared great memories and laughs. He was a dear man and touched many lives.

(Funny first meeting) I met Tom in 1985 when he firgured out that I was working for him. It was my first day at STX and they just had a re-org just prior to my arrival. We played many poker games together over the years with his favorite game being Anaconda. Tom, it was fun you will be missed.

I worked for Tom starting in 1984 where we went to China together. I stayed for the year warrenty period and Tom would call me once a week for my "Weekly English Lesson" I respected Tom as a boss and enjoyed him as a friend. He will be missed.
