Mr. Kirby was born in Norfolk and resided in the Tidewater area all of his life. He was preceded in death by his father William Kirby, Sr. and a brother Mark Kirby. He was a great craftsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and attended Woodland Heights Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of sixteen years, Janet Lake Kirby; his mother Margaret Connelley (Charles); a son Larry DeLeon; a granddaughter Diamond DeLeon; three siblings Debbie Hazelwood (Chuck), David Kirby and Bruce Kirby (Marianne), an uncle Mike Ney (Arlene) and numerous nieces and nephews.
