Virginia Beach- William H. Stinson passed away Sept. 15, 2016. Bill was born on April 14, 1938 in Dallas, TX to the late Leland H. Stinson and Marie L. Granbury. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy retiring after more than 31 years of dedicated service. He continued a career with civil service and retired as the Fleet Forces Command Manning Controller.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Claire Stinson; and brother, Randy Stinson.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kimberly Grace and her husband Mike; son, Kevin Stinson; sisters, Frances Love, Sheri Stinson, and Jenny King; and five grandchildren, Ayrian, Paige, Alexander, Steven, and Amanda.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wed. Sept 28, 2016 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Memphis, Tenn.
