A native of Princess Anne County Mr. Twiford was preceded in death by his parents, R. St. Clair Twiford and Annie L. Twiford. He was preceded in death by a brother Marion Glenn “Jack” Twiford and a granddaughter Jennifer Jackson.
Mr. Twiford was a master electrician and former owner of Twiford Electric. He was a Purple Heart recipient as a sergeant during the Korean conflict. He was one of the seven in the Fraternity of Honor in November 1950 of North Korea Reservoir Campaign. He was a past commander and Life Member of D.A.V. Chapter 20 and a member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge, 196 and a 32 degree Shriner.
Survivors include his loving wife Lee Twiford, adopted son Bobby L. Twiford, Jr., of Richmond, VA; a adopted daughter Teresa Jackson and husband Wilbur of Virginia Beach; two brothers John C. Twiford of Virginia Beach and Bobby L. Twiford, Sr. of Wilmington, NC and a great granddaughter Skyler Jackson.
A celebration of Mr. Twiford’s life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, 4 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.
