Jean M. Duckworth

Jean M. (Devine) Duckworth, age 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on April 15, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kay H. Duckworth, Jr., with whom she shared 60 beautiful years of marriage.

Born in Providence, RI, Jean was the daughter of Edward J. and Gertrude C. (Donahue) Devine. A resident of East Greenwich for over 40 years, she graduated from Hope High School in 1963 and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church.

Jean was the devoted mother of Michael E. Duckworth, Sr. and his wife, Vanessa E. Duckworth; the cherished grandmother of Michael E. Duckworth, Jr. and his fiancée, Kaylee Atkinson, and Jason K. Duckworth. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Nicole Rayta, and many loving extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Howard E. Devine, Sr. and William V. Devine.

In 1992, Jean founded Cleaning Concepts, a professional cleaning services company that she successfully operated for more than two decades. She was also a longtime co-owner of RBC Industries, Inc., an epoxy manufacturing company, alongside her husband and son.

Jean lived her life with patience, love, kindness, and an incredible sense of humor. Her family was always her top priority, and she never hesitated to put others before herself. She was a fantastic cook, an avid reader who was especially fond of the romance novels of Danielle Steel, and she enjoyed watching Lifetime movies, Law & Order: SVU, and Shark Tank.

Her warmth and caring spirit will live on in the hearts of her family forever. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she loved, and held in God’s grace.

Jean’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
