Nancy Elizabeth Baronian

Born in Providence on September 29, 1959, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late Leo P. Baronian and Elizabeth F. (Berth) Baronian.

She was a proud graduate of St. Xavier Academy in Providence and went on to earn both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rhode Island, reflecting her lifelong love of learning and personal growth.

Nancy dedicated many years of service to the State of Rhode Island, retiring in 2018 from the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island after decades of committed public service. Outside of her professional life, she found great joy and fulfillment in health and wellness. She was a certified Stott Pilates instructor and a yoga teacher, roles through which she inspired others with her calm presence, strength, and compassion for both body and spirit.

A proud lifelong New England Patriots fan, Nancy embraced her passions with enthusiasm, warmth, and loyalty, traits that defined her approach to life and relationships alike.

Nancy is lovingly remembered by her cousins, Sarah (Berth) Bares, Jennifer Berth, and Nathaniel and Robert Campbell; as well as by the many friends, colleagues, and students whose lives she touched through her kindness, mentorship, and gentle encouragement.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity, in honor of Nancy’s generous and thoughtful spirit.

Nancy will be deeply missed, and her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
