Waterville – Joan Marie Pelotte, 70, of Plymouth, our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who blessed us with her life, passed from this life to the next on Sunday September 9, 2018. She was born in Waterville on March 23, 1948, one of eleven children of Juliette (Foster) and William “Willie” Pelotte. She attended local schools and given her innate strength and perseverance she obtained her GED when she was in her 40s as well as her driver’s license.
Joan enjoyed quilting and her family has benefitted from this talent with fine examples of her art. She enjoyed traveling, Florida flea markets, Country Gold music and her Church, with a special devotion to St. Anne. Joan had an incredible love of her family, generous and self-sacrificing, caring and strong willed when need be - her heart was always open. A woman of determination she overcame adversity, and was nothing short of inspiring in her love.
