

Age 61, of Wayland passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 28th 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen LaFountain and Carolyn (Ron) Keech; parents-in-law Earl Miller, and Barbara Miller; sister Robin Henry, and brother Johnny Bingner. She is survived by her step-mother Jean LaFountain; devoted husband Patrick Miller; loving daughters, Denice (Tim) Pekel, Amelia Rohrbacher, Jody (Ken Teague) Campbell, and Martha (Mark) Lull; precious grandchildren, Nathan (Cassie) Carpenter, Amanda Carpenter, Tony Carpenter, Samantha O'Brien, LeeAnna Pekel, Mitchell (Kaylie) Smith, Sierra Lull, Hannah Lull, Zachary Lull; and her pride and joy, great-grandson Julian Carpenter; brother David (Kathy) LaFountain, and sisters Rosemary (Dave) Mercer, Gilma Opperman, Rhonda (Bob Miller) Grey, Kathy (Mark) DeBruyne, Roxanne Hammond, and Shelly Keech. Carol cherished the long lasting friendships that she maintained, and would want her friends to know that she is holding their hands in heaven, just as they held hers in the final weeks. Carol enjoyed camping, mushroom hunting, playing cards, fishing, and advocating for those with special needs. Family and friends were her greatest joy and motivation for continuing her fight. Carol, affectionately called "Memaw" or "Great" by her grandchildren, loved to brag about her family. Carol enjoyed being an entrepreneur, and treasured her work with Judge Mathis. Carol's strong spiritual devotion gave her great peace for her journey Home. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, May 3rd at 2pm at the VFW Hall, 735 S. Main St. Wayland, MI. To honor Carol, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hastings City Bank to help with medical expenses. All remaining donations will be donated to Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan.
