PINTARELLI: John Pintarelli, age 86, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home. He was born March 17, 1926, in Crystal Falls, MI to John and Victoria Pintarelli. John serviced in the US Armed Forces before graduating from Ferris State University. He retired from Steelcase, after also working several years for Checker Motors. John was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and the Wayland VFW Post 7581. John is survived by his son John (Sharon) Pintarelli, Jeff (Joyce) Pintarelli, and Victoria Pintarelli; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis (Edwards) Pintarelli. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 5 PM at the funeral home with Father Christian Johnston officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the Wayland funeral home. Memorials may be made through Grand Rapids Home for Veterans or to the family for expenses.
