Rudy dedicated 32 years of service to the Leighton community as a firefighter, and he devoted his entire life to serving others--through his proud military service in Vietnam, his years as an EMT with Wayland Area Emergency Medical Services, and his unwavering commitment to helping anyone in need. He was also proud to be a member of the Wayland VFW. One of his greatest joys was serving alongside his son, Tony, both on the fire department and the ambulance service.
Those who knew Rudy will remember his warm smile, generous spirit, and constant readiness to lend a hand. He always brought positivity, compassion, and strength to every situation.
Rest easy, Brother Banas. We'll take it from here.
