Abel R. Lopez, 62, of South Houston went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28th, 2015. He was born on Tandy Farms in Los Fresnos, TX in 1953 where he spent his childhood years through early adulthood as a migrant farm worker traveling to and from Texas to Ohio. He relocated to Houston in 1978 with his family where he worked for Harris County Flood Control for twelve years. He later ended his career as a car hauler in 2011. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Lopez; son Dominic Lopez and wife Monica Lopez; daughter Genesis Lopez; grandchildren Crystal Luna, Alfredo Vasquez Jr., Emily Vasquez, Abygail Lopez, and Damien Lopez; mother Ramona Lopez; brother Alejandro and wife Matilde Lopez; sister Beatrice Infante; brother Arturo and wife Mari Lopez; sister Berta Lona and husband Filimon Lona; brother Jose Angel Lopez; and numerous aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Pablo Lopez. He will be greatly missed by his family.
