About

Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery has been a trusted place for families seeking compassion and excellence for generations. The cemetery opened in Webster in 1951, followed by the funeral home in 1989. Together, they provide families from Houston to Galveston with the convenience of planning every detail of a memorial in one serene setting.

Each life deserves to be remembered in a way that feels personal and meaningful. At Forest Park East, celebrations are our specialty. From unicorns and superheroes to motorcycles and more, we’ll help you design a service that reflects the unique passions and personalities of your loved one. With beautifully designed spaces, exclusive services and products, and a concierge style of care, we create gatherings where you can share stories and honor memories with your friends and family.

A place of compassion for funerals and memorials

Chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home & CemeteryLocated in the heart of Webster, off Interstate 45, Forest Park East Funeral Home brings you together with the people you love. Our chapel, with its soaring cathedral ceiling and stained-glass accents, is a beautiful place for services. Flexible seating for up to 200 guests makes it feel intimate for smaller gatherings or welcoming for larger celebrations. Closed-circuit television ensures your guests can still see and hear every part of a service, even when the main event space is full.

Beyond the chapel, a spacious reception room provides the perfect backdrop for catered meals or simple gatherings—whether that means coffee and dessert, a sit-down dinner or a breakfast buffet. A coffee bar is also available during visitations and services.

A peaceful, picturesque memorial park

Spanning more than 143 acres, Forest Park East Cemetery is exceptionally beautiful, with expansive green lawns, tranquil gardens and lakeside spaces designed for quiet reflection. Stately oak and pecan trees shade the meticulously maintained grounds; Clear Creek flows through the cemetery on its way to Clear Lake and the Gulf of Mexico. Here you will find a landscape that inspires peace and remembrance.

You have many beautiful options for creating a lasting place of remembrance. Elegant walled estates are options for companions or families; traditional lawn gardens offer timeless beauty. Indoor and garden mausoleums offer aboveground memorialization. Those choosing cremation may select from columbarium niches or garden burial.

An inclusive funeral home and cemetery

Cemetery grounds at Forest Park East Funeral Home & CemeteryWe welcome families of all faiths, cultures and traditions. Our staff is committed to honoring what matters most to you, working closely to ensure that a service reflects your loved one’s beliefs, values and wishes. No matter your background, we go the extra mile for your family.

This willingness extends across a wide range of meaningful practices. From veterans tributes to a dedicated cemetery section for Jewish families, Forest Park East provides support that honors your family’s heritage with authenticity and care.

Buddhist traditions

We are among the few funeral homes in the area that permit incense burning. This meaningful accommodation and our knowledgeable staff make us a premier choice for Buddhist services. Our ability to honor these traditions allows Buddhist families to create deeply personal, culturally significant and spiritually comforting ceremonies.

Veterans tributes

Veterans section at Forest Park East Funeral Home & CemeteryThree cemetery sections are reserved exclusively for veterans. We’re proud to serve veterans and their families with compassion and gratitude, and we arrange military honors with every branch of service. We also participate in the Dignity Memorial® Homeless Veterans Burial Program, ensuring that even those without families receive dignified farewells.

A sacred space for Jewish families

Though Forest Park East is a nondenominational cemetery, it includes a section for Jewish families affiliated with Congregation Shaar Hashalom. Nonmembers may request permission for a loved one to be buried in this sacred area, giving families a setting reflecting faith and tradition.

Giving back to our community

Our roots in Webster run deep, and we nurture relationships that last long after a service ends.

Each Mother’s Day, we invite families to gather at the cemetery for a picnic service. It’s a day filled with remembrance and connection, where every mother in attendance receives a flower and more than a thousand blooms are shared with guests to place on the graves of their loved ones. The tradition has become a heartfelt way for families to honor mothers and feel supported during what can be a tender time of year.

In addition, Forest Park East partners with local organizations, such as the Daughters of the American Revolution and area Girl Scouts troops, continuing our commitment to uplift and engage with the community we’re privileged to serve.
