Adam L. Carriker, 51, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away August 23, 2019. He was born in El Dorado Springs, Missouri on March 28, 1968 to Roy and Lila Carriker. He was married to Joyce A. Pierce for 26 years. Adam had a career as a Senior Applications Developer for AT&T.
Adam loved heavy metal, the heavier, the better; going to concerts and rocking out. He loved being surrounded by nature whether it be taking lots of picture of pretty flowers or finding random rocks to lick and turn into beautiful jewelry. He had a passion for life and an unquenchable sense of curiosity, he loved learning new things and teaching. He also loved work; whether it was working for AT&T or just doing things around the house, he was always busy. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family. He loved deeply and awkwardly. He just loved all the little moments of being here with us.
He was preceded in death by father, Roy A. Carriker; grandparents, Allen and Helen Carriker, Wallace Blystone and Wilma Pippin, and his beloved nephew Jacob Ryan Pierce-Hunter.
He is survived by wife, Joyce A. Pierce; daughters, Genie M. Carriker and Tiffany M. Carriker; son-in-law, Aaron Robles; foster daughter, Rheanna Harrison; step sons, John Michael Hatler and Christopher Hatler; mother, Lila L. Carriker; brothers, Eric Carriker and wife Michelle and Merle Carriker; foster brothers, Steven Wright and John Sweeting; grandchildren, Trenton and Zoey Scanlin, Grant Hatler, Noah and Sutton Hatler, plus numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 6, 2019 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77598
