My Warrior
Today is a year since your departure. It's been a very difficult year accepting your absence. Why do I miss you so much? Mom, you faced adversity head on. You maintained trust in God during those difficult years, when you became the main provider for our family. I saw your struggles. You held two jobs so we would have food on the table. You did whatever it took so we could have a roof over our heads. As we grew older, I saw how you would not go to sleep until we were all safely home. Sometimes it would be very late but that's how much you cared for us. Your favorite scripture, that you stood by was Cree en el Senor Jesucristo y sera salvo Tu y toda Tu casa. You led us by example. I saw your honesty, integrity and loyalty. Not only did you impact my life, you also impacted many lives. It was visible. We saw it at your Celebration of Life on Wednesday, July 1st and Thursday, July 2nd, 2015. Over 300 people attended your celebration. You were my gift from God. You played a big part to shape my life. I'll take what you've instilled in me and walk the path that you have left behind. Mom, I miss you so much. Until we meet again! Love you, Nina

It's been 4 months & 1 week since mom's departure. We had our first big family event that she was not present. Our daughter Vanessa was married Oct. 25th. Mom was very present in my heart on that day. Mom's absence was very noticeable. Today, Nov. 5th, 39 years ago, mom & dad were celebrating with me, my wedding day. I was so proud of walking down the isle holding on to dad's arm. A truly special day in my life! My mom's absence is still very painful but I do have the hope that I will see her soon.

My dearest Tia how u are so missed. I just wanted to drop a little hello. I miss the calls you used to do by accident but to me I was excited that I did. You were always trying to get my mom. Miss you and I luv u. May you continue to watch over us from heaven. Hope u are with your sister (my grandma) , ur mother (my great grandma), my dad and brother. Tell them all hi. I will drop in soon. Luv ya ur favorite Great Niece!

Dearest Gonzales family: 
We had been curious about how you all are doing. Tonight, Lupe and I got curious, so I googled, only to find out about Antonia's passing. We are deeply saddened, but at the same time, thankful because this precious soul is in the loving arms of Jesus. She and Ma Rita were very influential in our lives, and will forever be thankful. Know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all.

Grandma, you are gone from this earth but not from our hearts. Everything you have shared with me has had a purpose in my life. I will always remember you. I learned about faith and how strength did not only come from muscles. You taught me about hard work and to always keep my house clean. I will remember the times in church when you would talk to me and how you would make a cradle with a baby with your handkerchief. I remember you always being at my football games, baseball games, Marine Corp graduation, when I came home from Iraq, and dancing with me at my wedding. I don't know how I will feel not seeing you at all the rest of my life events, but I know you will still see me. So I hope to make you proud and I will share the things you taught me. I love you grandma.

I was saddened to learn of Ms. Toni's passing. She was simply the best!  I loved seeing her everyday when we were both at UHCL. I could hardly wait for the holidays each year because she always brought me those yummy Tamales.

Gloria and Orlando, my heart goes out to you both and the rest of the family.  Mrs. Gonzales was a dear, sweet woman, strong in her faith and her convictions.  Know that she is being welcomed in heaven and she is basking in her God's almighty presence, smiling, arms raised, and praising.  She is home.

It was not just a joy but a privilege to know & love such a great woman of God. I know you're rejoicing with you creator. Though its tough to let go I know God will comfort the hearts of all that loved you. Condolences to all the Gonzales Family.
