Argen was preceded in death by both of his parents and son, Edwin Keith Dodds.
Gentleman Jim Dodds was a career servicemen from 1940-1972 in the US Army. He was in tours from World War II, Korean War, and several tours in the Vietnam War. Argen is survived by wife of 36 years, Eleanor Blanche Dodds; children, Perry J. Dodds, Argen L. Dodds III, Bertha K. “Kathy” Lopez, Craig Allen Dodds, Daryl Ellis Dodds, Felecia Anne Dodds Jones, Gary James Dodds and Helecia Mina Helton; 31 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Houston, TX 77598. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home followed by an interment in Forest Park East Cemetery.
