Bayani Ilas Ramirez

Bayani I. Ramirez 76, of Houston, Texas passed away October 16, 2024. He was born in Manila, Philippines on July 31, 1948, to Roman and Aurelia Ramirez. He was married to Daisy O. Ramirez for 36 years.

Bayani had a career in academics, teaching was his life! He taught physics, mathematics and all similar related subjects at De la Salle University, University in the Philippines, LSU Eunice and San Jacinto College in Houston. He had a passion for tennis and pickleball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Aurelia Ramirez and older sister, Gloria Tagle.

He is survived by his wife Daisy Ongteco Ramirez; sister Felicitas Ramirez; brothers Romeo Ramirez and wife Nedy, Normelito Ramirez and wife Lita, Jimmy Ramirez, and Ed Ramirez and wife Babs; nieces Myra and her husband Tin and Tracey; nephews Joel and his wife Caitlin, Rommel and his wife Tanya, Bryan and his wife Joyce, Paul and his wife Elana, and Albert and his wife Mary; grandnieces Josephine, Shea, Cami, and Seyla; and grandnephews Vann, Altas Moon, Ryan, Kingston, Myles, Tony, and Bayani, born Oct. 12, 2024.

A visitation for Bayani will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10:30 am with the rosary at 10:00 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, located at 15500 El Camino Real in Houston, Texas. And a committal service will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
