Ben Harvey Vaughn

He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on June 8, 1942, to David H. Vaughn and Irene S. Tillman.

He was married to Lela Vaughn for 11 years.

Ben had a career in electric motor repair and worked for Commercial Armature Works.

He was a member of Houston Baseball Umpire Association, President for one year and member for many years. Ben had a passion for singing and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by wife of 47 years, June Marilyn Vaughn; father, David Vaughn; mother, Irene Tillman; brothers, Robert Vaughn, Kenneth Vaughn, Terrell Jones, and stepbrother, Phillip Mcgee and stepson, David Pridgen.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Vaughn; son, Troy (Debbie) Vaughn; daughter, Tonya (Michael) Lewis; grandchildren, Anthony (Heidi) Vaughn, Tara (Derek) Straubie, Brian Powell, Foster Powell, Lela June Lewis, Cody Lewis, Ashlee (Rigo) Leon, Andrew Pridgen, Matthew Pridgen, and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Don Jones and Tom (Vickie) McGee; sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Kocian and Pam McGee; stepbrother, Greg McGee; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX, 77598, on December 21, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 pm. A committal service will take place from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the same venue. A catered reception is scheduled on December 21, 2025, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
