Bernice Elizabeth (Malkewich) Williams born on October 31, 1933 in Chipman, Canada to Anton and Eva Malkewich and left this world on July 7, 2016. She met her best friend and soul mate Robert Williams while serving in the Canadian Air Force and he was in the United States Air Force. She was a wonderful wife to “Will” for 62 years and loving mother to her daughter Jody Mantell.
Bernice led a varied and interesting life traveling and living with her family in different states and abroad. She made friends along the way often considering them family – so far away from their own homes in the United States. After living in many locations Bernie and Bob finally retired and settled in League City, Texas to be near their family.
She doted on her daughter’s family –Jody , son-in-law Mike, granddaughter Melani Molina and her husband Paul – her three great-grandchildren Genevieve, Juliette and Oliver and grandson Jordan Mantell and his family, Jessica and Shelby. We all love her chocolate chip cookies, biscuits and ham that only she could fix that special way with her loving touch. She so enjoyed decorating for every season – especially Halloween and Christmas but, Christmas was her favorite – reminding her of childhood years back in Canada.
Bernice overcame many obstacles in her life and she was strong to the very end. Her faith and love for her family were the most important things to her and she will be remembered forever.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Funeral services to follow at 3:00pm. Interment Forest Park East Cemetery.
