Eric William “Bill” Erickson, Jr., 86, of San Marcos, Texas passed away on September 7, 2016 in Cypress, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 21, 1930 to Eric William Erickson, Sr. and Katherine Wering Erickson. He was married to Mary Payne Erickson for about 30 years, raising 3 children. Bill had a career in the Air National Guard as a radar technician for almost 30 years. He was a member of the 147th Fighter Interceptor Group (Ace in the Hole) and loved to fish and play golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters Lois, Margaret, and Tiny; and brother Wallace Erickson.
Bill is survived by his sister Joan; daughter Phyllis Chronister; sons Wade Erickson and wife Lisa, and Steve Erickson; and their mother Mary Payne Erickson; grandchildren Aaron Chronister, Marc Chronister, Erika Erickson, Daniel Wagner, Shawn Wagner, Aaron Hatch, Randall Miles; great-granddaughter Cassidy Chronister, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Bill’s Celebration of Life will follow at 10:00 a.m.
