

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carrol Gene Branham, who passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2025 at the age of 93 in the presence of family and loved ones. He was the widower of Loretta (Green) Branham with whom he was high school sweethearts and shared 61 loving years together in marriage, where they spent every available moment together.
Born on December 8, 1931 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma, Carrol was the son of James Carlisle Branham and Bessie Mae Harris and was a brother to four sisters. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1950 where he participated in varsity basketball plus track and field. His field of high school field of study was in Industrial Arts, excelling in woodworking where he won 2nd Place in the 1950 National Industrial Arts Awards Competition for Wood Turning. This early mastery of woodworking became the foundation for his life-long and successful career as a Master Craftsman and Cabinet Builder in New Home Construction…skills and talents he passed on to his two sons as first apprentices and then carpenters in his business.
Carrol enjoyed skiing, boating and above all fishing, whether beside a quiet pond with friends and family or an offshore guided cruise. Carrol also had a passion for cars. He liked to drive nice sporty cars and was always under the hood of his and his son’s cars tinkering or keeping them looking clean and polished. He also created beautiful hardwood furniture for his home and family that rivaled the style and craftsmanship of any commercial quality furniture company. His enjoyed helping his sons as they grew up with projects such as building a pinewood derby track for the local Cub Scout pack and helping bring to life their high school football Homecoming floats. He will be remembered for being always willing to lend a hand to friends and family whenever needed.
Carrol was a quiet, principled, unpretentious man who cherished family above all else. He is survived by two sons, James and his wife Amy, David and his wife Laurie, his two surviving sisters JoAnn and Linda plus his grandchildren, Aimee, Cali and Cory along with, two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and extended family.
