Colette Sanders

Billie Colette Sanders, 88, passed away April 6, 2026. Born February 1, 1938, in Brady, Texas to Willie D. and Alma May Jones, Colette was the youngest of five daughters. Colette will be remembered as a simple, humble woman whose life was marked by quiet devotion and steady love.

A homemaker, Colette married Richard Sanders in June of 1956 and poured her heart into caring for their children and their home. She lived a simple, easy, faithful life, finding purpose in the everyday work of loving and tending to the people and place entrusted to her.

Colette was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, her daughter Deborah and her husband, Richard Sanders.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Sanders and his wife Linda, and her daughter, Sue Fisher and her husband Bill; grandson Billy and wife Chrystal, grandson Christopher and wife Nicole, grandson Michael, and granddaughter Michele; great-grandchildren Terra, Ellie, Sawyer, Kaiden, Mila, and Layla, and brother-in-law Johnny Sanders and wife Jeannie and their son Darren and his family; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a graveside service on Thursday, April 16th at 11:00 am at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
