Connie was known for her honesty, acceptance of all people and her "game for anything" attitude. A fanatic sports fan, she relished watching her Houston sports teams. She was legendary on the pickleball circuit, winning gold medals at the Texas State tournament 5 years in a row for women's singles and receiving 2 silver medals at the National Seniors' Pickleball Olympics in Ohio. And Her friends knew her as a game shark, as she enjoyed weekly Canasta and Mahjong games.
She loved to travel, dance and will be remembered for her annual grape jelly made only with grapes she had personally picked.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, seven of her siblings and her husband Walter "Buddy" Bailey. Those left to cherish her memory include brother Bob Dodds, sister Dorothy Filer (Melvin); sons Dan Bailey (Kay), Randy Bailey (Janice); grandchildren Kristi Barnhill (Dean), Travis Bailey (Megan), Andrew Bailey, Nicole Lange (Eric), Philip Bailey; and three great-grandchildren.
