Darlene was so special to our family, and we considered her part of our family.  She babysat my children from infancy and she genuinely loved them, and us her.  She never forgot to send us birthday cards, and we never forgot to include her in our birthday celebrations. I referred to her as an honorary Grandma to my kids.  Personally, I considered her a mentor, and even a spiritual mentor.  She was the first elder that I could speak freely about my religious convictions with.  We enjoyed many special times over a cup of coffee.  We are so grateful that God placed her in our lives.  I am also grateful that God called her home in such a special and beautiful way...all dressed to go worship Him at Easter Sunday Sunrise service, but instead, she got to do it in person.  We will always remember and love Darlene.  

Our love and prayers go out to the entire family.  May the peace and comfort that only God can give, fill your hearts, and comfort you in your loss.

I've known Darlene for a long time. We attended the same church and we are related by marriage.  She was a wonderful, God loving woman.  She will be missed but, God has her in Heaven now and she will be in our hearts forever.

Grandma you will always be in our hearts!  Rest in peace now!

Mrs Bordelon was a special lady and like Ernest said we grew up knowing Mrs Bordelon and all her kids. She was a sweet dear lady that we will miss dearly, her good times and memories will live on forever in our hearts. But another angel got her wings and my heart goes out to the Bordelon Family.

The Church of Pasadena

I have known Mrs.Bordelon ever since I was a kid in the 5th grade on Orrel in Pasadena. We lived across the street. John and I were inseparable. We grew up from kids to adults. Unfortunately over time we have grown apart and live in different areas. Mrs. Bordelon as I always called her out of respect for her, never forgot my birthday or Christmas. She always sent me cards. She never forgot me, and neither did I. She was a great lady and she will be missed. There is one new and bright star in heaven. All that knew her knew that she was not bashful and told you how it was. I will miss her. God bless the Bordelon family. You are all in my prayers.

John, I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  My prayers are with you and the family during this time of sorrow.
