Buck is preceded in death by his parents Ebb Sr and Lena Mae; his older brothers Olin William, Robert Wayne and Charles Glen “Choc”. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Vysta Anne Owen, Son Tom Christopher Owen and wife Ellen; Daughter Shelly Elizabeth Jones and Husband Steven, many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends from the Army and Sheriff’s Department.
He Retired from both the United States Army as a 1st Sergeant and The Harris County Sheriff’s Department as a Sergeant. He was involved in the 2nd Berlin Air Lift, Vietnam, and patrolling the 38th Parallel in Korea. In the Sheriff’s Department, he was in Recruiting, 911 Dispatch, and a firearms instructor.
Buck will be missed, but he is reunited with his best friend Gus, his wonderful dog and all his family and friends.
We have lost a great and talented man.
