Edith Faye Hodges Anderson

Edith Faye Anderson, 80, Hempstead, Texas passed away late Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at North Cypress Hospital after a long illness. Born in Jacksonville, Texas on January 24, 1931 to Melvin E. Hodges and Lora B. Thurman. Preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 39 years Floyd Atilla Anderson. Faye’s greatest joy was her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her greatly. She leaves behind a host of family including her son Dwain Allen Anderson and wife Karen, son Darren Austin Anderson and wife Traci, sister Mary Ann Kowis, brother Ron Hodges and wife Linda. Faye also leaves behind a precious legacy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, grandson, Dwain Allen Anderson II and wife Amber, grandson, Matthew Craig Anderson and wife Heather, granddaughter Vanessa Rena Anderson, granddaughter Elizabeth Danielle Anderson, great-grandson Dylan Matthew Anderson, great-granddaughter Madison Michelle Anderson, great-granddaughter Macie Leigh Anderson, great-granddaughter Kayleigh Rena Gregory and a host of other family and friends. Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, Webster, Texas where the funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
