Edith Faye Howard of Houston passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. She was born in Woodworth, Louisiana on July 24, 1931. Edith graduated from LeCompte High in Louisiana. She was married to Harlan “Cotton” Howard on October 04, 1968 in Harris County. Edith worked in the receiving department for Schlumberger. She had a passion for gardening, travelling, crafts, singing, and dancing. Edith is survived by daughter Leitha Dianne Deloach (Jerry), son Dennis Howard (Jennifer), son Tim Howard (Laura), and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother-in-law BH Perkins, sister-in-law Barbara Simmons, and brother-in-law Earl McWilliams. Edith was preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Forest Park East Cemetery.
