Edith has been on my mind so many times over the past years and I am saddened to learn of her passing in 2020.   I worked at Clear Lake Regional with Edith at a time I recall was particularly hard but equally wonderful.  The business office was led by someone who made life/work less than fitting for someone as wonderful as Edith, but she never faltered.  Her long time colleagues and friends, Mary Shackelford, Carmen, and others were there to prove the business office could be a rewarding place to work.  I was so honored to have known Marcus and Edith and they will always be a part of my life story as well.  Beautiful memories. 

Such a sweet lady.  Will always remember playing Bunco with Edith and her sweet smile.  She was always happy and enjoyed playing  Bunco and Canasta.  Miss her so much.  Sincerely, Elena Parmer

I am so sorry to hear of our Dear Edith’s passing. 😢
She was a wonderful, sweet, loving, caring, and cherished friend.  I first met  Ms. Edith at the Friday morning breakfasts we enjoyed at Cracker Barrel in League, City.   We played Bunco, and Canasta games, and were in Red Hats together.  We always had so much fun and laughter,  when our groups were together for all the games,  adventures and bus trips we took during our Red Hat gatherings.
She always talked about her family and how much she loved her boys and grandchildren, and showed her favorite photos too!  
She missed her husband Marcus, so I know they have been reunited, along with her baby girl, parents and other family members and friends.
Our sweet Ms. Edith will be greatly missed, until we are all called home, and are together again.  What a grand celebration that will be!

I first met Ms. Edith while I was visiting my sister Charlotte Smith in Texas. I immediately fell in love with this charming lady. She was so full of life ,love and joy.  She was so full of laughter and knew how to make you feel better. Your day just seemed much brighter when you  spent some time with Miss Edith. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. My prayers and condolences are with her family. Fly high Ms.Edith. W e will miss you.

My memories of Ms Edith go back to many years ago,  I met her when I signed up for Bunco. Immediately we became very good friends. She was so full of life and laughter. There was no way to be sad very long if you were around her. I remember when we had Bunco at her home she would make her famous chicken salad that we all loved. After Bunco ended and some of the ladies had gone home , the ones that carpooled with Kathy would hang out a while and listen to her play the organ. She loved playing the organ for us and we loved listening to it   There are way to many good times to list being with her.  Just being with her was a blessing. Thank you Ms Edith for  bringing hours of joy and laughter into my life. 
Heaven is a brighter place today because you ate there.  We will always miss you but will meet you on the other side.

I first met Edith in 2008 when I moved to Texas and her friend, Kathy Hinkle invited me to play Bunco.  Edith and I used to car share whenever we played Bunco and I will always remember her for her infectious laugh and the many stories she told me about her life and family.  I am going to miss her.  My sincere condolences to her sons and family. RIP  Edith.
