Eileen Patton Ashabranner was born in Norborne, MO, on October 13, 1933, and died on July 24, 2012, in Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Vivian Vinyard Patton, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Horace Ashabranner, and her three children: Tom (and Marti) Ashabranner, Don (and Lisa) Ashabranner and Clair (and Mike) Berno. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Alex, Eric and Brett Berno; Vivian, Audrey Anne and Max Ashabranner; Alazai Rutledge and Brayden Walker, along with one sister, Anne Pugh, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to MD Anderson Bay Area and to Christus St. John Hospital in Nassau Bay, TX, for their compassionate and supportive care.
The love, help and support from Eileen’s family, especially during her illness, was constant and unfailing. She was so very grateful. She asks that in lieu of flowers, we all just love one another and be kind to everyone.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 12:30 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
