She was born in Pasadena, Texas on May 22, 1982 to Maria Louisa Trevino and Jose Benito Carrillo, Sr.
She was married to her loving husband Abel Mares for 9 years. Together they raised two exceptional young men, AJ and Jason.
Elizabeth enjoyed spending time at the shooting range, eating crawfish, candle-making, jewelry-making, playing with her dog, Skeeter, football and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her Huge heart compelled her to help others around her in any way she could. She was more than willing to take someone under her wings and impart her wisdom and sass. She knew the right words to say and offered advice freely. Her smile was captivating and infectious, her sense of humor could make anyone smile, and she was always ready with a quick quip.
She is survived by husband, Abel Anthony Mares; sons, AJ Mares, Jason Saiz; parents, Maria Louisa Trevino and Jose Benito Carrillo, Sr.; siblings, Jose Benito Carrillo, Jr., Jessica Michelle Carrillo, Jonathan Daniel Trevino, Elida Marie Leal, Elisa Rene Carrillo, and numerous nephew, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
