It was February 24, 1940 where Elizabeth (Betty) McPhaill was born in Houston Texas to Douglas and Elizabeth Lacy as the oldest of three children she had two brothers Douglas and Tommy Lacy she had a rather spirited childhood.
The Betty we know met the love of her life, John McPhaill Sr., they had three children, John Thomas McPhaill Jr (Rhonda), Michelle Peters (Chuck), and Mary Shanz. After Betty retired from Exxon as an Administrative Assistant you could find her at the bowling lanes in Pasadena on various Leagues, Travel league, and State and National bowling tournaments.
After the passing of her beloved husband in 2015, she settled down in a quaint apartment in Deer Park and met a gaggle of gals as they played cards and gossiped with her “Fire Side Ladies.” Betty had five Granddaughters, Samantha Mysinger, Stefani Baxter (Adam), Brittany McPhaill, Brandi Shanz and Sally McPhaill who she loved completely. She had nine great grandchildren 5 boys and 4 girls she absolutely adored.
As with all beginnings there is an end, and Betty’s final chapter came to a close on Monday March 8, 2021 at the age of 81 in Pasadena TX.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband John McPhaill,Sr, parents Doug and Elizabeth Lacy, son-in-law Billy Shanz, brother-n- law Richard Langseth and brother Jack McPhaill and mother and father-n-law Margarite and John McPhaill.
She left behind the love of a friend, the love of a mother, the love of an Aunt, and the love of a Grandmother. She will be thought of fondly and missed fiercely.
In Leui of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the American Heart Association in the name of John & Betty McPhaill.
