

A proud Navy veteran, Eugene met Linda Mobley while stationed in Galveston TX. They were married in February 1963. Eugene was active in the masonic lodge, both have been active in their church, Peace Lutheran, for 40 years.
They have one son and one daughter, Richard and Rhonda.
After the Navy, Eugene worked for Petro-Tex Chemical and the VA Medical Center all the while operating his own HVAC business.
Eugene loved his 50’s music, tinkering with things, the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. In his leisure time Eugene enjoyed traveling with his wife Linda and friends.
Eugene was known to all for his kindness, mild manner, and handiness. Willing to help all, Eugene spent his final years happily fixing and assembling toys for grand and great grand kids. When he was not with the beloved family, Eugene was dedicated to his church, Masonic Lodge, and lifelong friends.
Eugene is survived by his wife Linda, sister Shirely Sherk, children Richard Hobbs and wife Penny, Rhonda Stringer, and husband Walt. Grandchildren include Amber Fuselier and husband Blaine, Rebecca Stinson and husband Cody, Ryan Hobbs, Christy Hayes and husband Ira, and Josh Pyeatt. Great grandchildren are Hannah Stinson, Cooper Stinson, Harper Fuselier, Ayden Pyeatt, Brett Pyeatt, Cassidy Hayes, Audrey Hayes, Jordan Hayes, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roger Hobbs and Carl Hobbs.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services immediately following at Peace Lutheran Church 6435 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505. Graveside services at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster TX 77598. Refreshments will be provided after the graveside services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Fuselier, Ryan Hobbs, Fred Bell, Jr., Gary Makowsky, Cody Stinson, and Leo Rodriguez.
