Frances Jamison went to be with her Lord & Savior on April 2, 2020, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of her late husband, Louis Jamison for 68 years. Frances and Louis were always seen together holding hands - true lovebirds since they met in the 1940's.
Frances grew up in North Carolina, then later moved with her family to Florida. She met her husband, Louis at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Frances is the daughter of the late Presbyterian Minister, William Carleton Rourk and loving mother, Mary Jeane Rourk.
She was the devoted mother to Jamie & Heather Jamison, John & Tracye Jamison and Debbie & Mike Gavis. Cherished grandmother of Sean & Alie Jamison, Crystal & Jarrett Woods, Tyler & Katy Gavis and Shannon Gavis. Her great-grandchildren include Maya & Olive Jamison, Julie Gavis, Jamis Woods & a new great-granddaughter arriving this Spring.
Frances loved her family and they all meant the world to her. She was the "favorite Aunt" to all her cherished family in Florida & loved by all friends of her 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She loved red poppies & anything associated with her "Fighting Texas Aggies". Her passions included traveling & sporting events of all types, especially football. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family & friends. She will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Graveside services and burial will be private. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
