He was married to Jeannine McKain for 62 years. Gerald worked for NASA as an Aerospace Technologist for 22 years. He was a member of Friendswood United Methodist Church and had a passion for wade fishing, duck hunting, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister JoAnn Zimmerman.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeannine McKain; daughter Debbie Lewis and husband Bob; son Mike McKain and wife Julie; daughter Yvonne Barineau and husband Daniel; grandchildren Robin, Rebecca, Jessica, Jennifer, Laura, Ellen, Dana, and Megan; and great-grandchildren Bliss, Syd, Molly, Liam, Michael, Jacob, and Thomas.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas, 77598, on January 11, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gerald's Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 12:30 p.m. with interment in Forest Park East Cemetery.
