

Harry Al Jones, 100, of Dickinson, TX passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022. He was born in Knoxville, Iowa on February 1, 1922 to James O. Jones and Flora Alice Roland. He proudly served in the Army during World War II where he was stationed in Europe. He was honorably discharged, after his service ended, he returned home to marry his first wife they had 5 children. After her passing, he married Fern who had 2 children. They blended their families together as one, they had 2 children together and raised them in a Christian household. Harry and Fern were married for 60 years. He was a member of West Bay Area Assembly of God. He loved God with all his heart, he never failed to share his testimony.
He was a Master Carpenter in the Carpenter’s Union for over 55 year—that is where his passion of building came from. He enjoyed making wooden doll houses and rocking horses, especially for his grandchildren along with windmills, bookcases and shelves. In his career he held a position of Superintend for Thomas Construction and Gene Murphy Construction. Throughout his life Harry was like the energizer bunny, go, go, go! It was always hard to keep up with him. He had a personality that endeared him to so many whose lives he touched. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: wives Edith Jones and Fern I. Jones; daughter Terrie Peck; sons Theodore “Ted” Jones and Harry “Casey” A. Jones; and grandson Darren Hayes.
He is survived by sons Tom and wife Darby, John and wife Jane, Richard and wife Connie, Robert and wife Teresa and James and wife Charlotte; daughter Katharine and husband Roger; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Harry will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm and a committal service at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Pallbearers are Michael Schuster, Kevin Schuster, Jarret Jones, Carrington Jones, Harrison Jones and Erasmo “Mo” Barrera. In lieu of flowers denotations can be made to Fisher House. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at below for the Jones family.
