Isis Estela Taylor

Isis was born in Guantanamo, Cuba. She was the seventh child born to parents Felipe Cisneros y Montes de Oca and Concepcion Martinez y Soto.

Isis married her husband of 61 years, Charles E. Taylor Jr., in Guantanamo, Cuba while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. Their first child, Alice, was born while they were still in Guantanamo before Charles was discharged. They moved to Attleboro, Massachusetts where Charles was from. Their second child, Frankie, was born while living in Attleboro. Wanting to leave the snow behind they moved to Houston, Texas, where they made their home. Isis enjoyed playing any kind of game. Isis and Charles loved to go dancing. Isis was a member of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She was a member of East Harris County Precinct 2 Seniors Group. She volunteered with her group doing activities. She was involved with their Senior Olympics. Isis loved to go to Astros games, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, she enjoyed going to the beach in Galveston and to sit in a rocking chair at the back of Murdock's looking at the ocean waves, pelicans, and seagulls flying by. She loved her family but probably favored her grandchildren and great grandchildren most.

Isis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Charles Taylor Jr., her siblings, Felipe Augustine Cisneros, Bertina Cisneros D'Augereaux, Concepcion Cisneros, Marina Cisneros Golden, and Virgilio Cisneros.

Isis is survived by her brother, Rolando Cisneros, daughter, Alice Garza, husband, Bernardino (Dino), son, Frankie Taylor, grandson, James Taylor, granddaughter, Annaleigh Taylor, great grandson, Landon Taylor, and great granddaughter, Skylar Taylor.

A visitation will be held on September 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, United States.

The funeral service will follow at the same venue on September 6, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.

The committal will take place on September 6, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home.

A reception will be held on September 6, 2025, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the same location.
