

She was born on October 6, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Agnes and Jack Francis. She moved to Memphis, Tennessee when she was in her teenage years. Upon graduating from high school, she attended Memphis State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. She briefly taught elementary school in Stockton, California before returning to Memphis to pursue her master’s degree. It was there she met the love of her life, James Vincent, who was her husband for over fifty years. She taught first and second grade in Memphis for ten years before moving to Texas. Once in Texas, she worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Golden Triangle Lumber and Hardware.
She was a longtime resident of Pasadena for over forty years. She volunteered at the elementary school and was a mentor to many. Sharing her passion and love for reading each week with children at the elementary school was one of her greatest joys. She was a volunteer at Bayshore Hospital for many years where she made newborn quilts and pillows for cardiac patients. She was active in Garden Club, Art Club, and Book Club as the Pasadena Library. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. She has called Montgomery, Texas home for the last six years, where she was a member of Fellowship of Montgomery Church. She was an amazing painter and avid reader.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her three daughters; Cherylynn MacGregor (Mike), Gwen Hurst, Ally Harrington (Philip); five grandchildren, Amanda Morgan (Josh), Christopher Hurst (Genesis), Taylor Krenek (Tatum), Colton Harrington (Emeleigh), Ashton Harrington, Toby Vaughan, and great-grandchildren, Victoria Parker and Waylon Harrington.
