James R. Lewis of Houston passed away at his home on October 5, 2011. He was born to Mary Alice Landrum Lewis and Troy Lewis, Jr. on September 23, 1948 in Laurel, Mississippi. A long time member of the HIADSA. James opened his own auto business in 1973 when he was 25. He loved cars and anything to do with automobiles. He was a great salesperson and businessman. Loved sports, working, going to the country, working out, his family, friends, employees and never met a stranger. James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Lewis, daughter, Johanna Wallace and husband, Mark, son, James R. Lewis (Randy), granddaughters, Ashley Ramirez and Ericka Ramos, grandson, Julian Lewis and brother John Hankins, Jr. and wife Mary, and Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Hankins and Fathers John Hankins, Sr, and Troy Lewis, Jr. and sister, Debra Cox. Funeral Services were held at Forest Park East on October 10, 2011.
