I met Janette when we both worked at Amoco Westlake in Houston.  There was a group of us that called ourselves the "lunch bunch" as we got together most days at lunchtime to play cards or dominos and catch up with each other.    Our group were friends outside of the workplace too.  And we shared many wonderful fun times together over the years, including a Christmas gathering each year.   Janette was such an upbeat and positive person.  She was always in a great mood and was the life of the gatherings!  Rest in peace Janette.  Even though we hadn't seen each other in years, the memories of our friendship are still with me.

I worked with Jannette at the Armand Bayou Amoco office for several years before we became BP.  At that time (2000), we were asked to work at the BP Westake office and thus began our long commute. It was that van pool experience that began a great adventure for us vanpoolers. We regarded Janette as one of the special riders since she helped keep the group together and in great spirits. Any misbehaved riders would be required to deal with Janette. Ha!

May Janette rest in peace. It was pleasure to have known her and work with her at Amoco and later BP and to have been part of the Clear Lake vanpool with her. My deepest condolences to the family.

Jeanette and I grew up together in the neighborhood and went through high school, played in band together and were overall best friends.  We used to read our comic books sitting in the chinaberry tree in the yard.  Her dad fixed her old bike when she got a new one for Xmas and gave it to me.   Her idea ......that way her and I could ride separate bikes instead of her pumping me on her bike.  She and I would bareback ride their horse when he was out in the pasture and when no one could see us.  We taught him to kneel so we could get on him.  We thought we could do all these things without being noticed.  However, Mr Carlisle always knew what we were up to.  I have so many fond memories of her and I.  She will be missed . 

Janette you will be truly missed but never forgotten. You were a  very special person I remember when you first came to light heart you had my heart then. Now you are with God no worries, no more pain rest easy .

When our family would come to Premont for a visit, cousin Janette and I would occasionally play cars in the sandy dirt of the cow stalls  - complete with sound effects of racing engines and squealing brakes.  Great fun!
One time we climbed through the barbed wire fence to explore the field between Grandpa's place and the stadium.  It was hot so we were in shorts and sandals, padding through the hot pasture, dodging prickly pear cactus and scrub mesquite. That became boring so we decided we would flip over cow patties with a stick.  Much more fun - until we flipped one and wore up a rattle snake who was not exactly pleased.  You should have seen us run for that barbed wire and skim through.  We never told our parents or Grandma and Grandpa.  We knew we would be in, ah, deep cow patties, so to speak.

Farewell my beautiful friend. So many memories from our childhood and school years in Premont. Rest in eternal peace, my friend. My condolences to her entire family. 

Janette you are my sunshine. I'm gonna miss you so muchhhh. 😢. I loved coming to work and singing you are my sunshine girl you know we can't sing for nothing but we sang every morning putting a big smile on are face love you may you rip
