Joe Krajca

Joe was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Liberty County, Texas. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army in both World War II and the Korean War. Following his service, he returned to Houston where he owned and operated Industrial Lift Rental and Service from 1964 until 1979 and founded Brookside Equipment Sales with his son and son-in-law in 1974. He retired from Brookside in 2004.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he loved nothing more than spending time with his family, usually over a game of dominoes while drinking an iced cold beer. He also enjoyed spending time at his farm in South Texas, spending his time there working on his tractor, always with Polka music blaring.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Rosie Scotka Krajca, sister Rose Krajca, and brother Albert Krajca. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Annie Krajca, sister Anna Sprta of Houston, Texas, daughter and son-in-law Doris and Tom Bielamowicz of Friendswood, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Julie Krajca of Friendswood, Texas, seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends fom 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Forest Park East Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road Pearland, TX 77581. rite of Commital will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
