

John C Hitchcock, 76, of Houston, Texas, passed away February 20, 2017. He was born in Grand Gorge, New York on December 23, 1940 to John C and Viola Hitchcock. He was married to Patricia Hitchcock for 57 years. John had a career in management and sales at Universal Metals & Machinery and Mitchel Machine Tool Company. He was a member of Westwood Civic Club and he volunteered at Braes Interfaith Ministry. He had a passion for family, woodworking, cooking and fixing antique clocks.
He was preceded in death by parents, John C Hitchcock and Viola Hitchcock Miller; son, Eliot Hitchcock; brother in law, Bud Jones.
He is survived by wife, Patricia Hitchcock; sons, Glenn Hitchcock and wife Amy, David Hitchcock and wife Brandi; daughter, Laurie Staley and husband Mike; daughter in law, Ann Hitchcock; grandchildren, Brian Hitchcock, Cody Hitchcock, Jacob Hitchcock, Adam Hitchcock, Hannah Staley and Emily Staley; brothers, David Hitchcock, Mark Hitchcock; sisters, Linda Neale, Donna Silverstein; numerous nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Reception to follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home after the services.
